Disneyland California is the most popular theme park in all of the United States. It is located in Anaheim, CA which is about 40 miles south of Los Angeles. The official name for the Disneyland Resort is the Disneyland Resort which includes both Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure Park. Disneyland is the place to go when you want to feel like a kid again. But, when you’re an adult trying to figure out how to keep things spicy with your significant other, Disneyland can be just the right spot for that too! With an abundance of rides and attractions in both parks, there are many romantic spots for adults to enjoy their time together in the Happiest Place on Earth. Walt Disney has brought us so much happiness throughout his career and it’s nice to know all of his hard work didn’t go unnoticed by Disneyland fans worldwide. Here are my top 15 picks for best romantic spots in Disneyland California:

Storybook Land on Tom Sawyer Island

This adorable attraction is one of the most underrated rides in Disneyland. It has benches and swings for you to sit down on and relax. You can also rent a boat if you want a more exclusive date.  The best part is Tom Sawyer Island is far away from the main hustle and bustle of the park. You have to board a raft to get there so it’s not as crowded and you’ll be able to enjoy your time alone without any distractions. The views are amazing and don’t forget about all of the photo opportunities!

The Swiss Family Treehouse

If you love Jungle Cruise then you’ll appreciate the Swiss Family Treehouse. It’s another ride that’s somewhat underrated, but it’s an incredible place for families or couples to enjoy their time together. It has a very nostalgic feel to it and there are some entertaining animatronics throughout the attraction. There is even an outdoor terrace where you can take pictures with your partner without the distractions of other park-goers or rides!

Storybook Land Canal Boats

Not only does this boat ride provide amazing views of all of Disney’s iconic characters, but they are perfect for taking romantic pictures with your date as well! You also have the option to rent a private boat if you want more privacy. This ride has been around since 1959 so it’s definitely one of the most classic rides in Disneyland! It might not be as fast-paced as some other attractions, but you’ll love this wonderful little boat ride at Storybook Land Canal Boats.

Innoventions East and West

Innoventions East and West are two interactive exhibits where your date can either get a little competitive or show off their creative side! There is even a place to have a romantic meal if you want to do something more upscale for your date. You can play guessing games with each other that require putting your heads together which makes it a great spot for couples who enjoy spending time close together! This attraction is also located near Club Buzz which is a great place to relax and enjoy yourself with your partner.

Club Buzz

This is a great place to stake your claim and stake out a table for you and your partner. You can enjoy some snacks, drinks, and relaxed entertainment with all of the other club-goers. Club Buzz has indoor and outdoor seating so be sure to explore both options! The best part is it’s very close to Innoventions East and West which makes this pair of romantic spots perfect for starting an unforgettable day at Disneyland.

Donald Duck’s Boat

Donald Duck’s Boat provides a nice little escape from the crowds if you want to take a breather. There are many fun activities to do on his boat including fishing, throwing rings, or playing music! It may seem like much but sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference. You can sit down on the benches and relax together while still getting to enjoy some of the sights of Disneyland. You might even get lucky and see Goofy’s Bounce House or Scrooge McDuck’s Money Bin!

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is another interactive ride that makes it fun for couples to compete against each other! You each have your own laser guns so you’ll be able to shoot targets throughout the attraction. The ride has a nice touch of technology so it doesn’t feel like your typical “kiddie” ride at Disneyland. It will test out your skills as you try to beat your date at this game! The best part? There are no height requirements at Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.

Alice’s Tea Cup Ride

Alice’s Tea Cups are a great place to relax together while spinning all over the place. They’re also perfect if you want something slower-paced that doesn’t involve going too high up into the air. There are some fun teacup stacking activities that allow you to be silly with each other and make memories you’ll never forget. This attraction is also located in Fantasyland, but it’s much quieter than some of the others nearby which means you can always find a table for two!

Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland is tucked away on the left side of Fantasyland which means you can enjoy it without many people around! You won’t have to worry about long lines or screaming children so you’ll be able to appreciate this attraction together.

The ride provides some great views of Fantasyland and goes through all kinds of twists and turns so there is never a dull moment. This is another classic that’s been around for decades, but it doesn’t receive as much attention as some other attractions at Disneyland do. It’s the perfect go-to spot for couples who are tired of waiting in huge lines just to ride one attraction!

King Arthur Carrousel

King Arthur Carrousel is a wonderful little carousel that provides a great spot for taking pictures. You can have fun posing on horses or just enjoy the scenery as you gaze at all of the other majestic carousel animals. You might even get lucky and see characters from Pixar movies like Toy Story, Monsters Inc., or The Incredibles! This attraction is located in the  middle of the castle courtyard which provides a very convenient location to take cute photos with your date!

The Golden Horseshoe

The Golden Horseshoe show provides a ton of entertainment as well as some food options that are perfect if you’re hungry or craving something sweet. They serve their famous ice cream sundaes at this location which makes it an ideal spot for your date (especially during the summertime.) You can enjoy watching the live shows and visiting with other characters like Chip N Dale who usually visit here throughout the day. You even get lucky and see Mickey who comes out to make an appearance during the show!

The Mark Twain Riverboat

The Mark Twain Riverboat is yet another well-known riverboat attraction that can be seen all throughout Frontierland. It provides a great place to take pictures with your date as it never gets too crowded like some other rides in Disneyland do. You can relax and watch scenic views of different parts of the Rivers of America, New Orleans Square, and Tom Sawyer’s Island! There’s also plenty to do on this ride which makes it perfect for snuggling up together or taking cute photos with one another.

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage

This classic ride has been around since 1959 so it’s definitely not new to Disneyland park. However, it’s perfect for couples who might be tired of riding the same attractions over and over again. The views in Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage are even better than some rides at Disney World! You’re able to see famous characters like Dory and Nemo up close, but no lines mean that you can spend as much time enjoying this attraction as you’d like!

Who isn’t excited when they hear the word “fantastic well?” This night time spectacular provides a thrilling performance with amazing music and special effects throughout different parts of Frontierland during Disneyland’s regular hours. Unfortunately, the Fantasmic! show is only presented during certain times of the year which means you need to plan ahead in order to ensure that you’ll be able to see it before your trip is over.

Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain provides a thrilling ride that’s perfect if you’re looking for something more adventurous than some of the other attractions in Disneyland. This log flume ride has an amazing final drop which gives everyone on board quite the adrenaline rush! Your date will surely appreciate this fun activity, especially since these kinds of rides are hard to come by at Disney World!

All of these activities are perfect for just about any couple who wants to have a magical date in Disneyland Park as part of their romantic southern California vacation. Whether you’re visiting with friends or celebrating something special together, there’s always an attraction here to fit everyone’s unique preferences!
